Start troubleshooting or upgrading your 36-volt electric utility vehicle by locating the motor controller–the heart of the system–positioned under the seat. The Alltrax SPM or XCT model is standard in older units, identifiable by its rectangular housing with six heavy-gauge cables (two for battery input, two to the motor, and two for accessories). Check connection integrity first; corrosion on terminals often mimics component failure. For 2008–2014 models, refer to manual sheet ED-09-1234 for pin assignments–mistaking accessory circuits for motor leads risks irreversible damage.
