Replace damaged carrier clips by matching the exact model number printed on the underside of the original–most manufacturers stamp a 3-5 digit code near the pivot point. If no code exists, measure the width at the narrowest point of the clip: standard sizes are 35mm, 50mm, or 89mm, with 50mm being the most common. Verify the material (polycarbonate vs. aluminum) by flexing a sample–aluminum bends under light pressure while polycarbonate resists deformation.
