To identify wear points in a rotary drum assembly, start by locating the drum cylinder. This cylindrical shell, typically fabricated from 10-12 mm steel plate (ASTM A36 or equivalent), bears the highest stress during operation. Check for micro-cracks or localized thinning–especially near weld seams–using ultrasonic testing if available. Replace any section showing thickness reduction below 8 mm to prevent structural failure.
