Start repairs by locating the air filter housing–remove the single Phillips screw securing the cover to expose the foam element. Replace this every 100 operational hours or if debris accumulation exceeds 2 mm, whichever comes first. Directly beneath, the carburetor assembly sits mounted via two M6 bolts; disconnect the fuel line and throttle cable before extraction. Inspect the gasket for compression cracks–failure here causes erratic idling.
